Common questions
Why is the first lookup slow?
The first time a player is looked up, JG Scout downloads their recent ranked games from Riot, one match at a time, which takes about 20 seconds for 20 games. Everything is saved, so looking up the same player again takes about a second. Champion searches take longer the first time, because Riot can't filter games by champion, so JG Scout has to look through older games to find enough of them.
Where are Season champions?
Riot doesn't provide per-champion totals, so they have to be counted from every ranked Solo/Duo game of the season. Pick Whole 2026 season as the number of games and the player card shows their three most played champions this season, with games and win rate.
What does "JG Scout is busy" mean?
Riot limits how many requests any app can make per second and per minute. When many lookups happen at once, JG Scout waits for that limit to reset, and if it's still busy you'll see this message. Try again in a minute. To keep things fair for everyone, each visitor can also run a limited number of lookups in a short time.
How are the predictions made?
From the player's own recent ranked Solo/Duo games. For each game where they played jungle, JG Scout looks at the first 10 minutes: where they were at 1:00, at 3:00, and so on, their kills and deaths, and which objectives their team took. The predictions are the patterns across those games, like "starts red buff in 80% of games".
They're habits, not certainties: players change their plans, and fewer games means less reliable patterns. The number of games behind each result is always shown.
Does JG Scout use live game data?
No. It only uses public match history from games that are already over, the same kind of data stats sites show. It doesn't read your current game, doesn't run while you play, and has no overlay or client integration.
What do "Unclear" and "Not seen at scuttle" mean?
Riot records each player's position once a minute. "Unclear" means the player wasn't near any jungle camp at 1:00 (for example in the river). "Not seen at scuttle" means they weren't at a scuttle crab at 3:00 or 4:00 and didn't fight there; a quick scuttle in between those moments can be missed.
Why does it say "Probably autofilled"?
When jungle is less than half of a player's recent games, they may not usually play jungle. Their clear is often slower and less practiced, and there are fewer games to learn from, so the predictions are less reliable.
Why only ranked Solo/Duo?
It's where players take the game most seriously and play their usual role, so the patterns are the most meaningful. Normals and other modes vary a lot more.
Is JG Scout affiliated with Riot Games?
No. JG Scout is an independent fan project that uses the official Riot Games API. It isn't endorsed by Riot Games.
How do I get my data removed?
